Welcome to Woodhill of Okemos
We welcome you to Woodhill, one of Okemos’ premier residential communities! Woodhill provides a carefree “condominium life-style” combined with the benefits and choices of individual home ownership.
The Woodhill community provides its residents with quiet respite from their busy lives. The community is surrounding by natural areas, woods, and wetlands which contribute to a “country feel” even though it is located in the heart of Okemos. A large pond, located at the entrance, is home to blue heron, Canadian geese, mallard ducks, and hundreds of goldfish! It is common to see deer, turkey, and even a small fox as you gaze into the woods surrounding Woodhill. Just a few blocks from Michigan’s capital city of Lansing, Woodhill is ideally situated for those who work with Michigan State University, State government offices, and the many businesses and service industries that are housed in mid-Michigan.
Woodhill also provides easy access for residents who commute east to Detroit and west to Grand Rapids via three interstate highways. We are also convenient to local and regional bus service, Amtrak trains, and international airports.
Opportunities for lifestyle enhancements abound!
Residents of Woodhill have access to the arts, theater, sports, and fine restaurants.
Sports: Big-Ten athletic events held at MSU Football Stadium, the Breslin Center, and Munn Ice Arena, all located nearby.
Shopping: Located near downtown East Lansing and Meridian Mall.

About Our Neighborhood, Homes, and Services
The community of Woodhill contains 85 free-standing private homes which were constructed between 1979 and 1984.
Homes are cedar sided with brick accents and have two-car garages. Home styles range from ranch homes with two or three bedrooms to two-story homes with three or four bedrooms. Many have finished lower levels which add living space and options for residents. Many homes have added sunrooms and decks to take advantage of the natural views. Homes are set on wide winding streets framed by mature trees and flowering shrubs.
All homes have individual decorative yard post lights that provide an intimate feel. Two individual swimming pools and a tennis court are nestled unobtrusively within the community to offer opportunities for neighbors and families to recreate and socialize together. The community also has an open park space with a basketball court and a totem pole!
Woodhill was ahead of its time as it was designed to provide its residents with maximum services and a community where “owning a home” meant freedom from “working on a home.”
